About

My name is Stephanie Gonna — a woman, a mother, a wife, and a passionate community worker. I manage a mental health team in a charitable organisation supporting people across Oxfordshire who are living with physical and mental health challenges. My work focuses on helping individuals become more independent through support in areas such as housing, finance, and social inclusion. But beyond that, I’m a woman who loves to dance. I'm originally from East Africa, where music, movement, and community are at the heart of everyday life. That spirit lives in me and is the foundation of Achi Afro Fitness — my way of helping people, especially women, take charge of their wellbeing in a joyful, culturally rooted, and accessible way. Achi Afro Fitness isn’t about expensive equipment or complicated routines. It’s about feeling good in your body, moving to music that lifts your spirit, and dancing like nobody’s watching. It’s about wearing colourful outfits that make you feel confident and connected, as if you’re on holiday, even on a grey UK day. Each class is more than just fitness — it’s a space for connection, for women to meet others from different backgrounds, to laugh, sweat, and share life. We dance through the seasons and our stresses. We create a community where movement becomes a lifestyle, not a chore. We celebrate our bodies, our cultures, our journeys — with music, food, and joy. Through Achi Afro Fitness, I offer women a taste of home, a sense of freedom, and the energy to thrive — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
